Welcome to the Glimpse Documentation! Here we hope to introduce you to the various tutorials, concepts and APIs you might need when discovering and using Glimpse.

NOTE: Glimpse docs are currently being improved. If you'd like to help out, just edit this page or contribute to our GitHub Wiki

Request Tab

The Request tab shows basic HTTP request information as the server received it. Client-side web debuggers (such as FireBug) often show similar data, but as the browser sent it.

Request Tab

  1. Key: The key column shows the name of a property from System.Web.HttpRequest
  2. Value: The value for the given property as seen by the server. Collections are rendered as inline tables with appropriate values. Null values are displayed as "--".

Did you know

  • Difference between what the client sent vs. what the server received:

The difference between client-side web debuggers and Glimpse is that Glimpse shows you what the server received, while other tools show you what the client sent.

Use this tab to understand the values your server is receiving and to identify any changes made to the request. (By middle man servers such as a misbehaving proxy.)
